Add Shortcuts To The Users Desktop
Version Compatibility: Visual Basic Script
You can use these WSH (Windows Script Host) functions to add a shortcut to a specified file to the user's desktop. This example creates a shortcut to Windows Calculator, but alternatively, you could wrap this script into a function that accepts arguments for path, file and even icon types. Just loop the WSH arguments collection to get your values. You can also add shortcuts to other Windows special folders using the .specialFolders function of the WSH shell object.
Instructions: Copy the declarations and code below and paste directly into your VB project.
