VBScript Powered MUD
Version Compatibility: Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic Script
This example of a telnet MUD server uses the power of the ScriptControl (from Microsoft's Web Site), XML data parsing and Winsock to provide a fully scriptable application. Once up and running the server (should) never have to go down for code changes. A basic framework provides the networking elements and the data storage to allow the script control to perform operations based on a telnet input. Currently the framework is basic, but this may be extended. It is recommended that you have a good understanding of classes to use this application. (note from FreeVBCode.com editor: This is an excellent piece of code. For those of you testing, settings are stored in the Data/config.xml file. I had to trace through the code to find this. But it is a brilliant piece of code.)
