I built upon the Translucent / Transparent Form submission and created a splash screen that shrinks and fades away, and then the app comes up. Its pretty neat, but requires Windows2000 or XP due to the call to SetLayeredWindowsAttributes API function.

Instructions: Click the link below to download the code. Select 'Save' from the IE popup dialog. Once downloaded, open the .zip file from your local drive using WinZip or a comparable program to view the contents.
