ADO Object Demonstration
Version Compatibility: Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic 5
This is a good example for beginner's of the user of the ADO connection and recordset objects in a VB desktop application. It uses these objects to display fields from an access database in textboxes; you can also add, edit, and delete records. The beginner might be tempted to use the data control to create applications such as this one, but this demo shows you how to proceed without the datacontrol -- a solution that, while slower to implement, usually results in more flexibility.
