Archimedian Spiral Control

Author: Nathan Moschkin (Featured Developer)
Category: Screen/Graphics
Type: Controls
Difficulty: Advanced

Version Compatibility:  Visual Basic 6

More information: This VB code will create the spiral of Archimedes according to various settings (StepInterval, Incremental, Base, MaxOrbits & Zoom).

These settings are all blue with the two most pertinent numbers (StepInterval and Incremental) set to a factor of Pi.

Archimedes was one of the first mathematicians to ever deduce Pi near to its current form, today. Spirals are another dimension of Pi. The Milky-Way galaxy resembles a perfect Archimedian spiral at maximum resolution, when the numbers are set to factors of Pi and Pi, 1 and Pi or 3 and 7.

Play with the colors and the bases.
